Welcome to Before & Again

Believe it or not, it's taken me near enough or longer than two years to finally put on some brave girl pants and just go for it.  

The name for my website/ blog/journal (delete as appropriate) came to me pretty quickly; it's a song by a beautiful uplifting, funky and soulful band called Akron Family.  

I had always loved it and it just made me feel good. But when I became a mama, the lyrics became my heart song (think Happy Feet style) 

"But my body knows of the ribbons and bows, 

that I once was tied in,

in my mother's skin, 

before and again"  

Agh! My heart aches in utter gratitude and overwhelming love for my babes; my body that birthed them and my husband who is our rock when I hear these sweet lyrics and the soothing melody of the song. 

This space is an extension of my Instagram, where it all started, of my thoughts, journey and the things I love; in particular photography, motherhood and our travels as a family.
